Probably very few countries in the world have achieved the goal of honouring its ancestors the way Peru has. Home of one of the most amazing civilizations the world has ever known, the Peruvians have been able to merge such impressive legacy with the Spanish influence in such a smart way that a whole new culture has come out. Walking through any Peruvian city or town it is impossible to dissociate such influences and not witness the impressive heritage, even after so many years. Places like Cuzco (capital of the Inca Empire) or the Southern Arequipa are great examples of this. Peru's archaeological importance is everywhere, which combined with its contrasting landscapes such as the Andes and the Amazon set Peru apart from any other destiantion.
